BBHQ February's Task : Blogger office and Organization

So February's beauty blogger headquarters task is about our blogger offices and organization  I was very excited when I found out that this was the task. Not only because its a topic I'm very much interested in but also because it gave me an excuse to start being more organized.Plus I'm a bit  like most people and want some tips from other bloggers .So hopefully this helps someone out and also leave some comments for me to let me know what you think .

Where do you blog? Do you have a space dedicated to your blogging work? An office, a table, a corner of your room...
Right now since I don't have much space to work will its along the wall in a corner of a small room. My office has a small desk and a Long 3 shelf bookcase to store my make up and other bits and pieces like things I need to review. I organize my make up with storage containers,Tubs and old Beauty army boxes.I keep my desk set up as a vanity using a small mirror that flips to  magnifying on one side and normal on the other. I also keep two Elf brush containers on the desk that holds a combination of brushes, eyeliners and eye shadow sticks. I also keep my blogging planner and ideas notebook on top of my desk or bookcase for easy access.

What do you blog on? Computer, laptop, tablet... what do you recommend?
Most of the time I blog on my iPhone 4S using the Blogger app and take all my photos with my phone as well. I also will finalize my post on my computer or laptop before actually posting them so I can preview them before hand. I like to do this especially when the post is picture heavy. I overall recommend the Blogger app if you use blogger so you can edit and post on the go. Also I recommend using your laptop for blogging as well so you can relax on the couch while still being productive.

Do you have any blogging rituals? Drinks, music, movie, candles...
If  I'm in my office during the day I enjoy burning candles. If I'm in there during the night I'll play music. An example of what I listen to is February Air by Lights.

(In a later blog post I'll be sharing my favorite candles so look out for that.)

How do you keep your blogging ideas organized? Notepad, planner, post-its...
I use a planner that's laid out like a calender to see in a months space what I want to get done. I just started using this method and so far I like the way it works for me. Of course I'm still tweaking it a bit. I also use a little journal that's the size of a planner and jot down ideas and To do's.

Do you have a blogging schedule for the week? Or the month? If so, how do you stay on top of it all?
I don't really have a schedule per-say but I aim to have at least one new post per week up.I also try to keep the planner and Journal I use organized.I also draft a lot of post on Saturdays. I just recently started scheduling blog posts which is a huge help.

How do you keep up with your publishing schedule and what you have already posted?
I use my Month planner and keep that updated. Before I post anything I look over what's already on my blog that way there aren't any repeat postings on Angelica Discovers.

If you review products, how do you keep track of what needs to be reviewed in your collection?
I keep new products in a special bin so that I don't use them before I take photos etc. That also helps me know that they need to be reviewed. I also keep a binder for my blog that has Product review information in it.So when I receive a product from a company I keep track of when I received it and when it's been reviewed.

What do you do with all your "old" data? Photos, videos, extra drives, online storage...
I don't really store my old date  which is probably really bad. So I  really need to start looking into this soon.

For fun, what beauty/non-beauty products do you need to have on hand near your blogging station? Hand lotion, lip balm, chewing gum...
I love to have candles and magazines in my office. They keep me feeling inspired, while working on new posts.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did while writing it.Also if you have any tips leave them in the comments. Also I'm always looking for new blogs to read so please leave your links below.Thank you Krystal again for an awesome topic to talk about.
