Part one : How to get Started Penpaling

So Over this Summer I've taken up a New hobby of Penpaling. I really don't know where I  got the idea of starting penpaling other than when I  was Younger I had a school Penpal and we eventually lost contact. Then this summer I found some pictures of letters from penpaling on IG and then continued to search and find more and more people that Penpaled and have IG accounts Dedicated to there hobby of Penpaling.

So as I became more and more interested in this I searched for my own penpals and found 5 people I write to often. This all can get a little complicated and confusing when you first start out especially if you don't know how to find good penpals or Where to look. So I'm starting a Small Series of posts for Penpaling. if your not interested in penpaling I  will continue to post beauty related blog post along side these.

So The Big Question is HOW DO I GET STARTED ?
Firstly you want to think about how much time you have to dedicate yourself to writing letters to your penpals. Also how much money you want to invest in penpaling.  Also think about where you want your penpals to be located , Do you want USA only Penpals or are you comfortable with penpals being located any where in the world . This is important to think about because Stamps and cards and envelopes cost money. Stamps alone in the USA cost about $9.20 for a pack of 20 stamps. Its a little pricey  for international stamps though .

  Also decide if you want to have at least 5 penpals or More if your thinking you'd like a lot of penpals  I'd suggest getting a PO box at the post office . This is a great way to keep your Penpaling mail from your regular mail and too keep your privacy and not have to give out your personal information to 50 different people. PO boxes very in pricing depending on the size of your box and where your located. I hope to be getting a PO box sometime next year. Once you've figured out how much time and money your willing to put into penpaling .
